Les Coggins, Senior Engineer | Orlando Office Manager
Les Coggins has over fifty years of experience in the fields of electrical engineering and facility operations. His numerous projects include primarily industrial, commercial, institutional and military complexes.
With his extensive and intimate knowledge of facility plant operations Les is called upon by the most demanding of customers to be a major participant in modernization, upgrade, rehabilitation and expansion projects. A priority requirement of industrial, institutional and military facilities is to maintain reliable ongoing services during major projects. Major entities such as Frontier Communications and Davita Laboratories have come to rely on the consistent and professional technical leadership of Les Coggins. For ten years Les also led a multi-discipline team of architects and engineers providing technical support to the Air Force Medical Services Agency overseeing major projects at US Air Force health facilities throughout the United States, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.
While building clientele and professional expertise in the civilian environment Les served as an engineering officer in the United States Air Force in both Active Duty and Reserve components. The challenges of a “dual career” were demanding and rewarding. Les served as a Reserve Squadron Commander deploying small contingency engineering teams to places of interest around the world and served as an “interim” Base Civil Engineer and Engineer Group Commander at a major active duty base. He retired with the rank of Colonel after a combined 30 years of service.
Les has served on numerous boards, committees, and panels for local governments as well as civic and spiritual entities. He is currently serving on his local Economic Development Committee.
